The project includes the construction of a seven-story precast parking garage over an existing surface parking area on the east side of the Tampa General Hospital (TGH) campus. The garage connects to the existing garage at each level and creates an additional 1,980 spaces for employees, visitors and valet parking for the hospital. Included in the scope of work was the enhancement of the Marjorie Merritt Davis Memorial Park that is located on the south side of the garage and the addition of a promenade along the new and existing seawall from the park to the north end of the property. The promenade and park enhancement include stained concrete sidewalks, pavers, and multiple canopies, tables, and seating areas for use by the public and hospital patrons. The continuation of a new seawall in front of the old seawall owned by TGH wa also part of this scope. An additional 160 feet of a new seawall from the end of the existing seawall was constructed to support the development of the park. The seawalls consist of vinyl panels and have either a manta-ray anchoring system or a concrete deadman with tie-rod system.
