Skanska welcomes Hoerbiger Žandov to Balabenka building

Skanska Property Czech Republic has signed another lease agreement in the office building Balabenka in Prague 9 - Libeň.  Hoerbiger Žandov will lease approximately 300 sq m of office space and has moved to Balabenka in November 2011. Hoerbiger Žandov is thereby the fourth tenant to be signed in the Balabenka building in 2011.

Hoerbiger is active throughout the world as a leading player in the fields of compression technology, automation technology and drive technology. The focal points of its business activities include key components and services for compressors, engines and turbo machines, hydraulic systems and piezo technology for vehicles and machine tools.

Commenting on the lease of the new office space, Libor Zeman, Managing Director of Hoerbiger Žandov, said: “We were looking for an exclusive location for our new office space: we required modern offices set in more intimate surroundings where our company identity would be best expressed. The Balabenka office building precisely meets these very requirements. It has unique architecture and, what’s more, is in an attractive upcoming location. The building also offers excellent quality-price ratio which was another important parameter for us."

Balabenka is located on the border of dynamically developing parts of the city – Prague 8 and Prague 9.  With its unique design Balabenka offers flexible and bright premises. The complex is surrounded by a park, which provides a green barrier protecting Balabenka from the rush of metropolitan life. Within walking distance from the building there is a wide range of services and amenities, including the shopping center Harfa and O2 Arena.

The six-storey building provides 13,000 sq m ofmodern and flexible office/retail space. The largest currently available floor in the building covers an area of almost 2,100 sq m. Each of the floors can be divided into several separate units with its own entrance and sanitary facilities, with individual unit sizes starting from 230 sq m. Almost all floors enjoy spacious terraces providing a stunning view over Prague as well as break out areas for the tenants.
