Press release 12/12/2023 10:00 AM CET

By train, tram, metro, car, on bike path, and on foot. The Port7 project is accessible in these ways. In addition, it is inspiring for work and meetings and can use modern technology to operate sustainably. These are ideal characteristics for media. That's why the publishing house Economia chose Port7, Skanska's latest project on the reconstructed Vltava riverfront in Prague's Holešovice district, as its new headquarters.

Welcome, Economia!

Port7 is the newest office project in Prague 7, that transformed a former brownfield into a lively hub for business and community life.  Officially opened in September, it boasts 36.000 square meters of modern and sustainable office and retail spaces. Beyond workspaces, the project will introduce a dynamic mix of indoor and outdoor amenities, including a charming piazzeta with shops, restaurants, and a 24/7 fitness center, along with a large public park and a new riverside promenade – Náplavka 2.0.

"We were looking for headquarters that would be inspiring and easily accessible. Through a range of events, we want to interact more directly with our subscribers. We have them all over the Czech Republic and naturally, we want to offer them a beautiful environment as well. It was the Port7 project that best met our ideas and requirements," says Lenka Černá, CEO and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Economia publishing house.

Prime location on the riverbank

Port7, located on the riverfront, has become a magnet for renowned companies seeking a prime location with top-notch amenities. The mixed-use complex attracts high-profile tenants with a unique combination of state-of-the-art offices in a prime location and a newly developed 17.000 sqm green park. Tenants benefit from sustainable features such as rainwater collection and re-use, efficient thermoregulation, and an intelligent building monitoring system, resulting in a 43% reduction in energy consumption and a 50% decrease in potable water usage (according to LEED certification criteria), compared to typical buildings of its size.

“From our perspective, Port7 is more than just a place to work. We do our best to create an environment that focuses on sustainability and well-being. Economia’s choice of Port7 is yet another proof that prestigious companies share the same values as we do. We welcome Economia to the Port7 family and hope to provide their employees with a new inspiring environment,” says Jana Prokopová, Leasing & Asset Director for Skanska’s commercial development business unit in the Czech Republic.
