BIM application

BIM is the process of working with the BIM model and database of information. Here are examples of BIM areas and their applications on projects.

Collision detection

4D planning

Coordination on site

Safety

Facility management

Laser scanning

Visualization

Bills of Quantities

Machine control using 3D

Mobile applications

Collision detection

One of the greatest benefits of BIM modelling is undoubtedly collision detection. The model is checked using the software and correct tolerance settings. At the same time, the model is checked manually. The collisions found are labelled on the model and the model returns to the designers for correction

4D planning

Based on the BIM model, the construction schedule and logistics processes on a construction site can be simulated, allowing visually view individual processes to detect possible delays and problems in the time sequence of each operation.

Coordination on site

The 3D model is used for planning and coordinating on site. Authorized person - The BIM Coordinator covers communication between the designer and the site manager and provides project documentation management. By properly coordinating the building, we will achieve better quality, better management or employee safety.

Safety

The potential of digital technologies used to design buildings can also be used to implement the concept of risk prevention. BIM allows for virtual control of the design and construction site equipment, eliminating the dangers that may arise during the construction.

Facility management

If the information model has gone through the design process, it becomes a rich source of information for building management and maintenance. Subsequent use of BIM in Facility Management results in significant savings in object operation.

Laser scanning

Laser scanning makes it easy to precisely survey the current state of the object, land, etc. It works with a point cloud that is not imported into BIM programs.  By refining information model it allows for better implementation of elements within the design of the object.

Visualization

We use two types of visualization. The first is visualization for the client, adding real textures to the 3D model and creating beautiful visualizations that a client, an investor, or an architect can view as 360 ° photos or browse the virtual reality model. The second method serves to carry out construction work on site and the design process when looking at the coordination model. It helps to achieve better imagination and coordination of the work.

Bills of Quantities

Component Bills of Quantities obtained from the information model serve as a basis for the preparation of a complete budget by the quantity surveyor. In addition, they are also used to check  the actual volume of material against the assumed one.

Machine control using 3D

Data from the model can be used on machines such as excavators, graders, tunnel drilling sets, dozers. The machines are controlled very precisely by GPS. This allows us to perform very precise excavations and reduce the cost of geodetic work.

Mobile applications

They facilitate paperwork on site allowing you to have all the available project information with you everywhere. They include element features, dimension and distance verification, and the whole model.
