Located in the heart of the University of Evansville campus, the Dr. William L. Ridgway University Center houses offices for student organizations and the Dean of Students, a dining center, radio station, student newspaper, and a student entertainment area called "The Underground." Industrial Contractors Skanska served as the construction manager on this 90,000-square-foot, $18.5 million facility. Groundbreaking took place in July 2007, and the project was completed in August 2008, in time for the start of the 2008-2009 school year. The project achieved LEED ®-certification, a requirement set by the private university.
